ABOUT
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SILENCE (John Cage)
The Silent Speaker embodies “silence”, “delay” and “invisibility” – although quite controversial discussed – they inform in our times to listen, to concentrate and to focus. These are features of invaluable assets in a time that is full of “noise”, “velocity” and multiplied “identities” caused by our digital life(s).
The Silent Speaker is not claiming to be extraordinary. But is rather based on the quite ordinary – rendered un-ordinary. A voice sweetly and uncomfortably reminding us of “Silence as a place for bumping into yourself”.
